2009 VACATION WITH TIFFANI AND MORGAN - PARK CITY, HEBER, ETC

For years I have been wanting to go to the Park City slides, which look like a lot of fun. And every summer I forget. This year that did not happen.

START OF A TRADITION
Grandma and I decided to start a tradition where we take the grandchildren that are old enough to a summer mini-vacation. So this year we took Tiffani and Morgan.

We reserve a hotel in Park City and spend two days there. The first day left Highland about 1 PM to go to Heber City to get ice cream at good old Grannies. That has been a tradition every time we go to Heber for years.

GRANNIES IN HEBER
Just by looking at the picture at Grannies you can see who was the clown during the whole trip. Morgan has lots of energy and he is always ready to use it.

While at Heber, we had planned to go on the Heber Crepper that goes around the Deer Creek Reservoir, but they don't open on Mondays. So we scheduled the train trip for Wednesday when we go back to Highland. Like always, the treats at Grannies are delicious. I discovered the ALMOND flavor which comes with coconut, another one of my world's favorites, and some chocolate. Tons of almonds and coconuts. I feel like going to Heber just to get one right now, if it were not Sunday. We really enjoyed our visit to Heber City, the Switzerland of Utah.

PARK CITY
From Heber City we went to Park City, directly to the hotel
to check in.Then we took the local bus, strait to the top of Main street and walked our way down. Beautiful little town as you can see in pictures.

MONALISA SMILE ON THE RIGHT SIDE -
Tiffani has the same smile as her dad, a slight smile that make one think she is saying "that's so dumb". Then I wonder is her smile would be the same on the opposite side of the face. So I took anothr picture so look at the next picture.

GRANDMA HAVING FUN - that was probably because of Morgan's silly faces and jokes. We figured Morgan got those jokes from her. However, don't be deceived, Tiffani has her sense of humor also. And when she gets together with Morgan,
the both get pretty silly and funny, as you can see in the following pictures. We enjoyed that very much.

TRIP TO KENTUCKY

Lena and I flew Wednesday December 3 to Kentucky to visit the Smiths. We arrived there late at night and surprised the kids in the morning as they were getting ready to go to school. We spend those few days visiting nearby cities, eating local dishes, visiting the Amish, and enjoying the landscape in general. Here are some pictures of the kids and the landscape.
